Finance Technician – Payroll & Accounting

About the role

Lulu Children's Wear is seeking a Finance Technician to support its payroll and accounting operations in Montreal. You will work with both manual and computerized systems to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare payroll cheques.
• Compute fixed assets, depreciation, and maintain related schedules.
• Record transactions, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare trial balances, financial statements, and various accounting reports.
• File tax returns and generate statistical financial reports.
• Maintain general ledgers using accounting software and spreadsheet tools.

Required profile

• College, CEGEP or equivalent 1‑2 year certificate/diploma, or comparable experience.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Ability to work full‑time on site.

Required skills

• Accounting software (e.g., Sage)
• Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Windows, Office
• SAP modules: FI/CO, HR, MM, OT, SD
