Field Engineer

About the role

Webuild is seeking a Field Engineer to join the Mobilinx construction team in Canada. Reporting to the Deputy Construction and Technical Director, you will play a key role in delivering one of the country’s most exciting infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering information and interpret plans, detail sheets, and specifications for contractors.
• Report accurate labor quantities for cost reports and monitor material ledgers and work progress.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and authorities as required by the contract.
• Assist in falsework inspection and monitor rebar installation for conformance with structural drawings.
• Support the Project Superintendent by enforcing quality control, expediting subcontractors, solving field problems, and supervising craft employees.
• Update drawings with changes issued by consultants and resolve conflicts between drawings and specifications.
• Review shop drawings for contract compliance and communicate findings to the team.
• Identify contract document conflicts, recommend solutions, and assist with accident investigations and reporting.

Required profile

• Completion of a college or university program in a construction‑related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a construction environment.
• General construction skills, including blueprint reading.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• AutoCAD
• Spreadsheet and project planning software (e.g., Excel)
• Survey equipment such as total station, level, transit, and laser level

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 CAD to $100,000 CAD per year (exact amount depends on the specific project).
