Farm Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee the full cycle of orchard production, from planting to harvest, on a rural farm specializing in apples and cherries. The role is hands‑on, requiring daily presence on‑site to ensure optimal crop quality and efficient farm operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities for apple and cherry orchards.
• Train trees to improve fruit quality and yield.
• Maintain and repair farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.
• Manage overall farm operations, including scheduling and resource allocation.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise a team of more than 20 staff members or volunteers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and agricultural best practices.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience in farm or orchard management.
• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to work in dusty, hot, noisy, outdoor environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility, initiative, good judgement, and team‑player attitude.
