Family Practitioner / General Practitioner (Locum)

About the role

Our well‑established family practice in downtown Langley is seeking experienced locum physicians to provide high‑quality, comprehensive care to a patient base of 1,200‑4,000. The position offers flexible hours (9 am‑5 pm, no weekends) and the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team of seven physicians and dedicated nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a broad range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct routine examinations, preventive care, and health education.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the MYLE electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians involved in maternity, hospitalist, MAID, and long‑term care services.
• Adhere to clinic policies, LFP billing procedures, and professional standards.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible Family Practitioner/General Practitioner.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a family medicine setting.
• Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MYLE EMR platform.
• Familiarity with LFP billing processes.
