Family Practitioner / General Practitioner (Locum, 3 days/week)

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and reliable Family Practitioner/General Practitioner to join our clinic on a locum basis. The position offers a highly flexible schedule of three days per week, ideal for maintaining a strong work‑life balance while delivering high‑quality primary care. Our practice is located in the heart of the Fraser Valley, a vibrant community surrounded by mountains, rivers, and lakes, providing a supportive and well‑run environment for both staff and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including preventive, acute, and chronic care.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Perform minor procedures and manage routine follow‑up appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Family Medicine or General Practice.
• Current licence to practice medicine in British Columbia.
• Reliable, friendly, and able to work independently within a supportive team.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centred care in a community setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Ability to perform minor surgical procedures.
• Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare team members.
