Family Practitioner / General Practitioner (Job Share)

About the role

This position offers a unique job‑share arrangement for a Family Practitioner/General Practitioner. The role is split equally between outpatient clinic duties and hospital or elective work, providing a balanced mix of patient continuity and acute care experience.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑manage a shared panel of patients with a fellow physician in an outpatient setting (0.5 FTE).
• Provide inpatient care, emergency coverage, or other hospital‑based services (0.5 FTE), or pursue teaching, research, or procedural interests.
• Maintain high standards of patient‑centered care and collaborative practice.
• Participate in team meetings and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Family Practitioner or General Practitioner.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team‑based environment.
• Flexibility to split time between clinic and hospital or elective activities.
• Commitment to continuity of care and patient safety.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnosis.
• Management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
