Family Physician – Orthopaedic Service (Clinical Associate)

About the role

The Fraser Health Authority is hiring Family Physicians to join the Orthopaedic service at Royal Columbian Hospital as Clinical Associates. In this role you will provide comprehensive medical care for trauma and elective orthopaedic patients, overseeing their health from admission through discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Perform medical assessments, diagnostics and treatment planning for orthopaedic in‑patients.
• Manage medication regimens and chronic or acute medical conditions throughout the hospital stay.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, discharge planning and coordination with surgical and other specialty teams.
• Provide patient education and ensure continuity of care after discharge.
• Maintain documentation and collaborate with the orthopaedic surgeons and interdisciplinary staff.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible Family Physician.
• Experience or strong interest in caring for orthopaedic patients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a hospital‑based team.
• Willingness to commit to full‑time or part‑time schedules without on‑call duties.

Required skills

• Family Medicine clinical expertise.
