Family Medicine Physician (Full-Time)

About the role

The Physician will join an interdisciplinary primary‑care team at Kingston Community Health Centres, delivering comprehensive family medicine. The position includes cross‑appointments as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Queen’s University, allowing involvement in teaching while maintaining a sustainable practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide full‑scope primary care across the lifespan, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and delivering preventive health education.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, social workers, dietitians, and other allied health professionals to address social determinants of health and coordinate complex care.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, case consultations, and shared‑care models with specialists and community partners.
• Contribute to development, implementation, and evaluation of medical protocols, quality‑improvement initiatives, and health‑services planning.

Required profile

• Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) and registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in good standing.
• Current CMPA (or equivalent) malpractice insurance and satisfactory Criminal and Vulnerable Persons checks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record software (PS Suite preferred).
