Family Doctor – Private Practice (Urban)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Doctor to join our urban private practice clinic. The role involves providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, fostering long‑term health relationships, and supporting community wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Examine patients to diagnose diseases, injuries, and health conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
• Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other public‑health matters to authorities.
• Coordinate primary patient care and provide acute care management.
• Offer counseling and support on health, lifestyle, and preventive care.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine (MD) with a focus on family medicine.
• Certification by the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
• Licensure to practice medicine in the relevant Canadian province or territory.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centered care in an urban setting.
