Facility Assistant – Part-Time

About the role

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is looking for a proactive Facility Assistant to support daily operations at the National Soccer Development Centre (NSDC). The role ensures the facility remains clean, safe, organized, and efficient for athletes, coaches, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Coordinator with day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of the NSDC.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the facility, grounds, equipment, and common areas.
• Conduct regular inspections, report issues, and assist with preventative maintenance.
• Manage inventories of supplies, equipment, and operational materials.
• Complete routine logs, checklists, reports, and documentation.
• Assist with facility setups, takedowns, deliveries, and other operational needs.
• Perform driving duties to transport supplies and equipment as required.
• Adapt to changing priorities and support additional facility tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in facilities, building operations, maintenance, hospitality, recreation, sports, or a similar environment.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, staying calm under pressure.
• Highly reliable, organized, proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced setting with shifting priorities.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lb and performing hands‑on tasks.
• Valid and clean BC Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
