Extruding Machine Helper – Rubber & Plastic Manufacturing

About the role

The Extruding Machine Helper supports the production of rubber and plastic products at Cascades Canada ULC. Working on the extrusion line, you will assist operators, handle materials, and help maintain quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist machine operators and assemblers in the manufacturing process.
• Set up and dismantle extrusion equipment.
• Transport raw materials, tools, and finished products between work areas.
• Prepare raw materials for mixing and grade/label materials or finished goods.
• Package products and evaluate labeling, packaging, and advertising compliance.
• Ensure product quality meets established standards and health‑safety regulations are followed.
• Process electronic transactions using computer equipment.
• Clean and maintain workspaces and equipment.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Team player with resourcefulness, adaptability and collaborative attitude.
• Willingness to work day, night or shift schedules, including overtime.

Required skills

• Assistance with extrusion machine operation.
• Equipment setup and dismantling.
• Electronic transaction processing using computer equipment.
