Expert Data Analyst – Hybrid (Toronto)

About the role

Our client, a large enterprise organization, is seeking an Expert Data Analyst to join a 15‑week contract supporting a major business transformation. The role is hybrid, requiring one day per week on‑site in Toronto, and focuses on data validation, analysis, system testing, and issue investigation across multiple enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and validate data from diverse sources and systems.
• Support testing activities to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Investigate data discrepancies, perform root‑cause analysis, and document findings.
• Review business and technical documentation to understand data flows and relationships.
• Develop and execute advanced SQL queries, including window functions, to validate data and reporting outputs.
• Partner with project teams to resolve data quality and reporting issues.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights on data‑related observations and risks.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst.
• Advanced SQL expertise, especially with window functions.
• Proven experience analyzing large, complex datasets.
• Strong background in reporting, data validation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform root‑cause analysis and investigate data issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
