Experienced Technician - Vehicle Fire Suppression

About the role

Everguard Fire and Safety is seeking an experienced Vehicle Fire Suppression Technician to install, inspect, maintain and repair fire suppression systems on commercial, industrial, mining and institutional sites in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and validate vehicle fire suppression systems.
• Perform mechanical and electrical testing, replace, repair and certify components.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and manuals.
• Evaluate customer needs, recommend solutions, and complete documentation and daily work reports.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of field experience with vehicle fire suppression systems.
• Training on Ansul, Amerex, Kidde, Dafo, Fogmaker or similar systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to work safely and independently.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work remote sites and overtime.

Required skills

• Mechanical and electrical testing of fire suppression equipment.
• Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Installation, maintenance and repair of vehicle fire suppression components.
