Executive Director, Enterprise Performance

About the role

The Executive Director, Enterprise Performance leads strategic performance measurement, planning, reporting and data science for Alberta Infrastructure. Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Financial and Corporate Services, this senior leader integrates four key teams to drive analytics, project controls and data governance across the province’s capital investments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide enterprise leadership in performance analytics, project controls and data science, leveraging AI and advanced analytics.
• Develop and continuously improve performance measurement frameworks and key performance indicators.
• Direct strategic planning and results reporting to meet accountability requirements.
• Collaborate with Financial Services to align analytics, project controls and reporting with financial planning and forecasting.
• Establish a project management centre of excellence, set standards and use predictive analytics for accurate capital project delivery.
• Oversee enterprise solutions and data infrastructure, ensuring responsible AI governance.
• Offer executive counsel and foster innovation, data literacy and leadership capacity across multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level management experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
• Expertise in enterprise information systems, advanced analytics and responsible AI application.
• Deep understanding of corporate performance measurement, strategic planning, results reporting and financial/operational analytics.
• Knowledge of leading practices in project controls, portfolio performance management and predictive analytics.
• Strong political acumen, consensus‑building ability and a track record of fostering collaborative, innovative cultures.
• University degree in a related discipline such as Business or Science.
