About the role

The Ministry of Education is seeking a dynamic, high‑performing executive to lead its Corporate Services function. This senior position will shape financial strategy, drive performance, and champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the ministry.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for financial and corporate services, aligning them with government priorities.
• Develop and execute the ministry’s financial strategy, including annual planning, forecasting, and policy oversight.
• Steward fiscal and human resources to ensure value for money and operational excellence.
• Strengthen governance, accountability, and risk‑management frameworks to meet legislative and policy requirements.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with central agencies such as the Ministry of Finance and the Provincial Auditor.
• Champion innovation and continuous improvement using data, analytics, and modern practices.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering inclusion and professional growth.
• Provide executive leadership on contract management and stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in finance or corporate services within the public sector.
• Demonstrated ability to align financial operations with strategic government objectives.
• Strong track record of governance, risk management, and compliance oversight.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
