Executive Assistant & Board Secretary

About the role

The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is seeking a highly organized Executive Assistant and Board Secretary to support the President & CEO, the General Counsel, and occasionally other senior leaders. This role blends executive support, board administration, and project coordination in a dynamic cultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative and office management support to the President & CEO and senior leadership.
• Coordinate travel, meetings, and logistics for the executive team and, when required, the Leadership Group.
• Act as Board Secretary, preparing agendas, minutes, and supporting documentation for the Board of Governors and Foundation Board.
• Manage special projects, conduct research, and compile data for reports and problem‑solving.
• Facilitate communication between senior leadership, board members, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise independent judgment in handling sensitive information.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting senior executives in a fast‑paced organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a diplomatic approach.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize competing demands.
• High level of discretion and professionalism.
