About the role
The Department of Chemistry at McGill University seeks reliable individuals to serve as exam invigilators during multiple midterm examinations. The role involves ensuring a smooth, secure, and fair testing environment for students.
Key responsibilities
- Set up examination rooms according to specific requirements and ensure equipment and facilities function properly.
- Administer exams, handle student queries, enforce exam regulations, and alert the professor when needed.
- Collect and secure all exam materials after each session and report back to the professor.
Required profile
- Client‑focused, service‑oriented and punctual.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities; able to listen and assist students efficiently.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of a team, and maintain a quiet environment during exams.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is an asset.
- Minimum education: high school diploma.
