Evening New Build Repair Technician (2nd Shift)

About the role

Join a dedicated shop‑floor engine support team as an Evening New Build Repair Technician. You will coordinate repair and new‑build activities, resolve snags, and ensure tooling and documentation are ready for the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in creating methods and scheme‑planning documents for modification, repair, testing, stripping, building, inspecting and conforming engines and components.
• Manage incoming deviating and non‑conforming materials, verify deviations and determine dispositions (scrap, rework, forward to engineering).
• Plan and issue rework instructions in line with approved engineering or OEM procedures.
• Participate in scrap reviews to identify salvage opportunities.
• Collaborate with Siemens Energy, subcontractors or suppliers on investigation and development work to validate repair proposals.
• Prepare repair and new‑build instructions, including shop‑floor computer routings.
• Raise Tooling Service Requests for new tools or upgrades and coordinate design reviews and functional tests.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects and other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• CEGEP or equivalent technical education, or operator experience in gas‑turbine engine repair and overhaul.
• Practical knowledge of gas‑turbine technology and repair/overhaul processes.
• Strong organizational abilities and technical writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP for production, inspection and task planning.
• Effective team player with good interpersonal relationships.
• Logical thinking and planning capabilities.
• Fluent in French (spoken, written, understood); basic English for reading engineering documents.
