About the role

We are seeking an Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Mai Thai Restaurant 79 Ltd in Prince George, BC. The position focuses on preparing Thai dishes, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Determine food portion sizes and associated costs.
• Plan menus and estimate food requirements for service.
• Requisition food items and kitchen supplies.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, specializing in Thai cuisine.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and compliance.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• Maintain inventory records for food, supplies, and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas and manage overall kitchen operations.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment with attention to detail.
• Meets language requirements (English or French).
