About the role
We are seeking an experienced Ethnic Food Cook to join our kitchen team at Tandoor N Flame Restaurant in Red Deer. The role involves preparing authentic ethnic dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high standards of food quality and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and food costs.
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and compliance.
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
- Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory and records.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Clean kitchen and work areas and manage overall kitchen operations.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 2 to less than 3 years of relevant cooking experience.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
- Attention to detail, flexibility, initiative, organization, reliability, and teamwork.
