About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Ethnic Food Cook to join our restaurant team in Winnipeg. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking East Indian dishes while ensuring high standards of food safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, focusing on East Indian cuisine.
• Adapt dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory records.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring smooth operations.
• Clean kitchen work areas and manage overall kitchen operations.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school).
• 1 to less than 2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Team player with reliability, flexibility, and client focus.
