About the role
We are looking for an experienced Ethnic Food Cook to join our kitchen team in Brampton. The successful candidate will specialize in East Indian cuisine, preparing both individual dishes and full meals for our customers. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation and hygiene.
Key responsibilities
- Plan menus and estimate food requirements for daily service and special events.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, focusing on East Indian flavors.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain health and safety standards.
- Maintain inventory, record supplies and equipment usage.
- Clean kitchen workstations and organize buffets and banquets.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste.
- Coordinate with front‑of‑house staff to deliver timely service.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 3 to 5 years of professional cooking experience, preferably in ethnic or Indian cuisine.
