Environmental Manager

About the role

The Environmental Manager will oversee day‑to‑day environmental matters for FCC Canada’s major infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and stakeholder expectations. The role is central to maintaining the Environmental Management System (EMS) and tracking environmental performance against industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage environmental monitoring and follow‑up programs in line with Environmental Reference Documents, applicable laws, permits, licences, and project agreements.
• Proactively address environmental issues to guarantee full compliance with all required environmental documentation.
• Prepare and submit documentation to the Contracting Authority demonstrating qualifications and capabilities as defined in the Environmental Specialists Qualifications Plan.
• Operate and continuously improve the Environmental Management System, ensuring accurate metric collection and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing environmental compliance for large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian environmental regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
• Detail‑oriented approach to documentation and record‑keeping.
