Engineering Manager, Accounts

About the role

Relay is a digital banking platform helping small businesses manage money. The Engineering Manager, Accounts will lead the team that builds and evolves Relay’s multi‑account structure, turning static setups into intelligent, automated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of engineering initiatives, ensuring quality, timelines and business goals.
• Establish and maintain engineering processes such as sprint planning, code reviews and design reviews.
• Partner with senior leadership to shape technical vision and align it with company objectives.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
• Build and grow a high‑performing engineering team through hiring, onboarding, coaching and performance management.
• Foster a collaborative, feedback‑driven culture that supports continuous learning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑stack software development experience, preferably in a high‑growth B2B SaaS or fintech environment.
• 1–3 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong technical foundation with a track record of shipping high‑quality products.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide calm clarity during ambiguity.
• Customer‑centric mindset and pragmatic decision‑making.
