Engineer-in-Training, Mining

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, Short Range Planning, the Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) Mining will ensure the engineering department has accurate as‑built data and that mine operations have reliable controls to execute the mine plan. This full‑time, on‑site position follows a 4‑day‑on/4‑day‑off schedule and is part of a four‑year rotational development program.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and provide as‑built data required for planning and design work.
• Implement and monitor accurate operational controls for mine plan execution.
• Continuously improve existing engineering systems and support the integration of new technologies.
• Collaborate with all mine‑site departments and senior leaders to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in short, mid and long‑range planning, drill‑and‑blast, and project activities during rotations.
