Emergency Physician (Full‑time)

About the role

Royal Columbian Hospital and Eagle Ridge Hospital are seeking full‑time Emergency Physicians to join the Columbia Emergency Physicians Association. The position involves approximately 13 shifts per month across two high‑volume, high‑acuity emergency departments in the Fraser Health region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to adult, pediatric and trauma patients.
• Participate in teaching activities for UBC residents and medical students on shift.
• Engage in research, quality‑improvement projects, and physician‑leadership initiatives.
• Contribute to simulation training, geriatric emergency medicine, and departmental education programs.

Required profile

• CCFP (Emergency Medicine) or FRCPC (Emergency Medicine) certification.
• Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• PALS or APLS certification current within the past five years.
• ABEM certification (eligible) and ATLS or equivalent trauma certification highly recommended.
• Experience in a high‑volume, high‑acuity ED, preferably with trauma and pediatric exposure.
