Emergency Medicine Physician – North Island Hospital

About the role

The North Island Hospital in Campbell River is seeking qualified Emergency Medicine Physicians to join its busy Emergency Department, which handles roughly 70 visits per day (about 25,000 annually). The position offers flexible scheduling and the chance to work in a scenic coastal community on Vancouver Island.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ER.
• Collaborate with local specialties including ICU, surgery, anesthesia, OB/GYN, pediatrics, orthopedics, plastic surgery and ENT.
• Participate in teaching activities for medical students and residents through the University of British Columbia’s Island Medical Program.

Required profile

• Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• Qualified as an Emergency Medicine Physician.
