Emergency Medicine Physician – Full-time (Kelowna)

About the role

Kelowna General Hospital is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine physicians to join its vibrant, high‑volume Emergency Department. The role offers a blend of acute clinical care, teaching, and collegial teamwork in a scenic four‑season city.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care for a diverse patient population, including trauma, cardiac, and stroke cases.
• Participate in bedside teaching, simulation sessions, Grand Rounds, and journal clubs for residents and medical students.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and high‑quality outcomes.
• Contribute to departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and on‑call coverage.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine (FRCPC or equivalent).
• Strong commitment to mentorship, teamwork, and continuous learning.
• Willingness to engage in academic activities and community outreach.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ECMO and cardiac critical care procedures.
• Experience in trauma resuscitation.
• Skilled in point‑of‑care ultrasound.
• Familiarity with medical simulation techniques.
