Emergency Medicine Physician – Full Time

About the role

Join a dedicated team at Langley Memorial Hospital’s new Emergency Department, serving a rapidly growing community in Langley, BC. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide high‑quality, timely care to a diverse patient population in a modern, fully equipped 200‑bed hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency medical assessment, treatment, and disposition for acute and urgent cases.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, ICU, surgery, and specialty services.
• Utilize diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI) and laboratory resources to support clinical decisions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and maintain readiness for high‑volume emergency visits.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and community health outreach.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or certified in Emergency Medicine (FRCPC, CCFP‑EM).
• Current licensure with CPSBC (full, provisional, or eligible for full license).
• Certification in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.
• Commitment to collaborative, patient‑centered care within a public health system.

Required skills

• Proficiency in emergency clinical protocols and procedures.
• Ability to interpret advanced imaging and laboratory results.
• Strong decision‑making and triage skills in a fast‑paced environment.
