Emergency Medicine Physician – Full Time

About the role

Join a dedicated team at Langley Memorial Hospital’s new Emergency Department, serving the fast‑growing community of Langley, BC. We are seeking five full‑time Emergency Medicine physicians to provide high‑quality, timely care to an increasing volume of patients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency medical assessment, treatment, and disposition for acute patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including ICU, surgery, pediatrics, and radiology.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and maintain 24/7 emergency coverage.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement, education, and community outreach initiatives.

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility: FRCPC, CCFP EM, or equivalent.
• Current full CPSBC license or provisional eligibility for full licensure.
• Certification in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and teamwork in a teaching hospital environment.

Required skills

• Advanced clinical decision‑making in emergency settings.
• Proficiency with hospital information systems and diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI).
• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
