Emergency Medicine Physician – Fraser Canyon Hospital

About the role

The Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting a full‑time and/or part‑time physician to provide 24/7 emergency care at Fraser Canyon Hospital, a 16‑bed community facility located in Hope, BC.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency care stabilization and triage around the clock.
• Manage acute presentations from local residents and travelers on major highways.
• Provide hospice and supportive care as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.

Required profile

• Board certification: FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP‑EM, or ABEM.
• Eligibility for provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); CPSBC USA‑certified registration acceptable.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Clinical expertise in emergency medicine (CCFP‑EM, FRCPC, ABEM)
