Emergency Medicine Physician – Fraser Canyon Hospital

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time and/or part‑time physician with CCFP (± EM) training to join the Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine at Fraser Canyon Hospital. Located in the scenic town of Hope, BC, the position offers a unique rural experience just two hours east of Vancouver.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 emergency care, stabilization and triage for patients in a 16‑bed community hospital.
• Manage acute medical, trauma and surgical emergencies, including care for travelers on major highways.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality patient care and coordinate transfers when needed.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and maintain coverage for the emergency department.

Required profile

• FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP‑EM, or ABEM certification.
• Eligibility for provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) or CPSBC USA‑certified registration.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications.
• Commitment to serving a rural community and working in a team‑oriented environment.
