Elementary Teacher – Permanent Full-Time Position

About the role

The District School Board Ontario North East is seeking a qualified Elementary Teacher for a permanent, full‑time position at Joseph H. Kennedy Public School, starting August 31 2026. The role is a 1.0 FTE appointment and follows the current ETFO collective agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the Ontario curriculum for elementary grades.
• Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate records, report on student achievement and participate in school meetings.

Required profile

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers accreditation.
• Required French as a Second Language (FSL) qualification.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in education.
• Ability to provide a Criminal Background Check with vulnerable sector screening.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning and instructional delivery.
• Classroom management and student assessment.
• Effective communication with students, families and staff.
