Elementary Grade 4 Teacher (English & Math) – 50% LTO

About the role

The York Region District School Board is seeking a qualified elementary teacher to deliver English and Mathematics instruction to Grade 4 students on a Long‑Term Occasional (LTO) 50% schedule (12:05 pm‑3:50 pm). This part‑time position supports student success in a collaborative school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum for English and Math for Grade 4.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to meet student learning goals.
• Participate in school meetings, parent communication, and professional development as required.

Required profile

• Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (or in the process of becoming qualified) before the start date.
• Provide at least three professional teaching references (or two for internal candidates, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator).
• Successful completion of a satisfactory police record check.
• Relevant teaching experience and certification for elementary education.
