Electrician – Construction & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a qualified electrician to join TDR Electric Inc. in Vancouver. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems across construction sites, residential and commercial locations.

Key responsibilities

• Install and replace electrical controls, panel boxes and underground wiring.
• Design and construct single‑phase and low‑voltage multiphase services for various installations.
• Test, measure and troubleshoot voltage, loads, ground faults and circuit integrity.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to guide installations.
• Ground and bond electrical equipment, including swimming pools and hot tubs.
• Maintain detailed maintenance reports and documentation.
• Instruct apprentices and ensure safety in hazardous environments.

Required profile

• Registered Apprenticeship certificate and Electrician Trade Certification.
• 2–3 years of experience in construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites, including remote locations.

Required skills

• Installation and repair of electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Underground wiring and cable installation.
• Low‑voltage (30‑750 V) multiphase service design.
• Voltage testing, load measurement and fault isolation.
• Grounding and bonding of equipment and structures.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Use of generators, conventional electrical devices, motors and controls.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
