Editorial Content Lead / Writer

About the role

The Azrieli Foundation is seeking an Editorial Content Lead/Writer to shape and deliver compelling narratives that advance its charitable objectives. This senior position will translate complex research, grant outcomes, and impact data into accessible stories for diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the Foundation’s lead writer, editor, and storytelling specialist, managing a strategic editorial calendar.
• Build and maintain a cross‑departmental Story Bank, capturing stories from grantees, beneficiaries, researchers, and internal stakeholders.
• Produce high‑quality long‑ and short‑form content for newsletters, websites, campaigns, video scripts, internal communications, speeches, and senior‑leader correspondence.
• Develop opinion pieces, commentary, and thought‑leadership articles, and support media relations with backgrounders and spokesperson briefs.
• Maintain brand and editorial standards, ensuring consistency of voice, tone, and messaging across all communications.
• Collaborate with communications, digital, and program teams to gather content, optimize digital distribution, and support major announcements, events, and multimedia projects.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in editorial content development, journalism, communications, or publishing.
• Proven ability to translate complex subject matter into engaging, audience‑centered narratives.
• Experience supporting executive communications and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Familiarity with digital content strategies and multi‑channel distribution.
• Experience in nonprofit, philanthropic, research, education, healthcare, or public sectors is an asset.
• Proficiency in French and/or Hebrew is a plus.
