Drywall Installer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Drywall Installer to join our construction team in Calgary. The successful candidate will work on a variety of interior and exterior projects, ensuring walls and ceilings are finished to high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Clean and prepare surfaces, fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound.
• Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency and apply ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim.
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings.
• Cut openings in lath for heating, ventilation, ductwork and electrical outlets.
• Install metal stud framing, furring, and suspended ceiling systems.

Required profile

• 2 to less than 3 years of experience in drywall, plaster and related trades.
• No formal degree required; relevant on‑the‑job training is sufficient.
• Ability to work flexible hours on construction sites.
