Drywall Installer – Commercial & Residential

About the role

Sunview Homes & Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Drywall Installer to work on both commercial and residential projects in Winnipeg. You will join a small crew and contribute to high‑quality interior finishes in a fast‑paced, dusty work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of joint compound, sand seams and joints, and finish surfaces to a smooth standard.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids, then place acoustic or coffered panels.
• Fill nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowels and broad knives.
• Measure, cut, fit and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs and joists.
• Embed tape over joints with a taping machine and finish with compound.
• Maintain a clean, safe site while handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lb) and performing physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching and standing for long periods.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation (high school diploma) or equivalent.
• 3 to less than 5 years of hands‑on drywall installation experience.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and flexible day shifts.
• Physical capability to lift heavy materials, kneel, crouch and stand for extended periods.
• Experience supervising a small team of 1‑2 workers is a plus.
