Driller – Oil & Gas Exploration

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Driller to lead rig crews in the setup, drilling, and servicing of oil and gas wells. The role is based in Fort St. John, BC and involves working outdoors in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the rig crew in setting up rigs and drilling, completing or servicing exploration and production wells.
• Ensure all safety procedures and certifications are adhered to on site.
• Maintain accurate records of drilling and servicing operations.
• Operate controls of drill and hoisting machinery safely and efficiently.
• Provide training or arrange training for crew members as needed.

Required profile

• First Aid, Well Service Blowout Prevention, and Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) certifications.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel.
• Ability to pass criminal record check, drug test and medical exam.
• Physically capable of handling heavy loads, working under pressure and performing tasks that require bending, crouching and kneeling.
• Accurate, dependable, strong oral and written communication, good judgement and a team‑player attitude.
