Dozer Operator – Heavy Equipment – Fort Hills Mining Site

About the role

NACG is looking for experienced Dozer Operators to join its remote mining team at the Fort Hills site near Fort McMurray. You will work 14‑day rotations on 12‑hour shifts, living in camp accommodations and flying in from Edmonton or Calgary.

Key responsibilities

• Operate D8‑D10 sized dozers to perform bulk‑pushing and overburden work.
• Read stakes and place grades as required for mining operations.
• Conduct equipment walk‑arounds, safety checks, and field‑level risk assessments.
• Report any repairs, incidents, near‑misses, or damage promptly.
• Follow all company, client, and legislative safety policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience operating dozers in a mining environment.
• Experience with muskeg or soft‑ground conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education is a plus.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to provide a recent driver’s abstract.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Combined pay rate up to CAD 52.29 per hour.
