Dispatcher – Logistics Coordination

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Dispatcher to join our logistics team in Saint John. You will be the central point of contact for drivers, sales, and operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate daily via phone, radio, and email with an assigned fleet of drivers to convey load instructions.
• Determine the most efficient delivery schedules based on driver availability, load size, and trip length.
• Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate customer delivery requests.
• Maintain professional communication with customers throughout the delivery process.
• Plan loads and runs to maximize time efficiency and load factor.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and assist other dispatch staff during peak periods.
• Troubleshoot delivery issues and process paperwork according to company shipping procedures.

Required profile

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
