About the role

The Director of Strategic Initiatives & Transformation is a high‑trust, high‑impact leader responsible for shaping and executing the client’s modernization agenda. This fast‑paced role is ideal for a disciplined builder who can turn ambiguity and complex operational environments into clear systems and forward momentum.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a transformation team to map, standardize, and re‑engineer core processes across operations, maintenance, safety, customer service, finance, HR, and field services.
• Design the future state of the organization using AI‑centric tools, automation, workflow redesign, and best‑in‑class technologies.
• Act as a strategic integrator across the Executive Team, facilitating alignment, prioritization, and execution of enterprise initiatives.
• Strengthen reporting systems and ensure data integrity to make the organization future‑ready, data‑driven, and operationally excellent.

Required profile

• 5–7+ years leading transformation, strategic initiatives, or operational improvement in a high‑growth or industrial environment.
• Experience in solid waste, environmental services, logistics, transportation, or heavy‑asset industries preferred.
• Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and operational insight.
• Deep experience in project management, cross‑functional leadership, and data analytics.
• Prior exposure to AI‑enabled transformation or advanced technology deployment is an asset.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and frontline teams.
• High adaptability, emotional intelligence, and resilience in high‑pressure settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft O365, collaboration tools, and modern business systems.
