Director of Product - Aquaculture Technology

About the role

Innovasea designs advanced aquatic solutions for fish farming and fish tracking, and is looking for a full-time Director of Product to lead its aquaculture technology portfolio. You will translate customer needs, market opportunities and technical capabilities into products that improve fish health, operational efficiency and production outcomes. The role reports to the Vice President of Aquaculture Technology and works with a cross-functional team of sales, marketers, architects, software developers and engineers.

The position can be based in Bedford, NS or remote EST/ATL Canada; Boston, MA or remote EST USA; or Bergen, Norway. Remote Eastern USA or Canada candidates must be able to travel to Bedford, NS or Boston, MA once a month.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a product operating model and organizational structure.
• Lead and direct the digital strategy, define and prioritize product roadmaps, and guide new requirements from concept to launch.
• Mentor a team of Product Managers and Product Owners.
• Coordinate with Marketing on go-to-market strategies, collateral and product training materials for new releases.
• Travel to domestic and international events in the US and Europe as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of product management experience, including leading product organizations for both hardware and software products such as cloud/SaaS platforms, connected devices and data-driven solutions.
• Experience building or transforming Product Management organizations, covering team design, governance, roadmap management and portfolio prioritization.
• Experience leading complex multi-disciplinary portfolios spanning engineering, software, operations and commercialization.
• Nice to have: experience with B2B internet products, integrated hardware and software, Jira, Confluence and SharePoint, and knowledge of the aquaculture ecosystem.
