Director of Operations - Eastern Canada

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Operations for Eastern Canada to lead our bakery franchise network from Toronto. Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations – Prairies and Eastern Canada, you will drive regional performance, ensure brand compliance, and support growth across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Coach Area Managers on franchisee relationship management and trust building.
• Foster a team culture aligned with the COBS strategic plan.
• Coordinate regular team meetings and events to enhance collaboration.
• Achieve budgeted sales growth and develop monthly action plans with Area Managers.
• Ensure campaign targets are met and forecast sales and expenses accurately.
• Review monthly performance metrics (MFS) and create action plans.
• Implement COBS brand standards at the bakery level.
• Analyze business risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Lead change management initiatives to execute the COBS strategic plan.

Required profile

• High‑energy, positive attitude with strong relationship‑building skills.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior management role, preferably with franchising experience.
• Degree or diploma in Business or related field.
• Operational understanding of retail sales and small‑business environments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams in fast‑paced settings.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, and facilitation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently.
• Strong financial analysis skills and ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Demonstrated capability to drive top‑line sales and bottom‑line profitability.
