Director, Governance

About the role

MS Canada is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to serve as Director, Governance. Reporting to the President and CEO, this senior position works closely with the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and key stakeholders to ensure effective board performance and organizational accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and senior leaders to develop and continuously improve governance frameworks, policies, and practices.
• Support the Board and its committees in operations, meeting preparation, and decision‑making processes.
• Drive initiatives that enhance transparency, inclusion, and good governance aligned with MS Canada’s mission and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with the Governance Specialist to oversee board and committee activities.
• Provide expert advice on governance best practices and organizational accountability.

Required profile

• Extensive experience supporting boards, committees, and senior executives in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and political acuity.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
