Director, Account Management (Financial Institutions)

About the role

The Director, Account Management (Financial Institutions) will lead growth, optimisation and protection of a portfolio of large, strategic financial institution clients. This senior position requires a strategic, analytical leader who can turn customer insights into actionable plans and deliver measurable commercial impact.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow strategic FI account relationships as the primary point of contact.
• Identify, develop and manage a strong opportunity pipeline.
• Create and execute account plans to drive direct and indirect revenue growth.
• Lead day‑to‑day customer engagement, including issue resolution, data insights, strategic messaging and quarterly business reviews.
• Drive partnership expansion and deepen customer engagement.
• Negotiate contracts, develop term sheets and manage legal agreements.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Legal and Technology.
• Ensure a customer‑first delivery model, providing best‑in‑class service, insights and value.
• Prepare executive‑ready presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Own reporting cadence and ensure timely, accurate output delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing customer relationships, revenue and sales with a proven record of meeting growth targets.
• Strong commercial acumen, including building business cases, ROI analysis and pipeline forecasting.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate deals and manage contracts.
• Deep account‑management expertise with Tier 1 and Tier 2 customers.
• Experience leading RFP processes, building pipelines and driving revenue expansion.
• Proven internal stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
