Diet Clerk – Clinical Support

About the role

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Diet Clerk to support the Clinical Systems Nutrition & Food Services department. This full‑time, evening and weekend position involves managing diet‑related information and ensuring accurate meal delivery for patients across the health region.

Key responsibilities

• Process patient diet changes, food preferences, admissions and discharges in the CBORD dietary software promptly.
• Print and distribute tray tickets, labels, and required reports.
• Maintain statistical data, filing systems, and month‑end records in accordance with retention guidelines.
• Communicate clearly with staff via face‑to‑face, telephone, fax or email.
• Participate in Quality Assurance programs and support meal‑tray preparation and cart transport as needed.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent (Manitoba standards) – a combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Valid Food Handler's certificate.
• Ability to read, write and speak English effectively and follow oral and written instructions.
• Satisfactory employment record and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CBORD Food Services Suite.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (minimum 70% proficiency in each).
• Experience creating and managing Excel spreadsheets.
