Diesel & Medium-Duty Trucks Technician

About the role

Are you a skilled technician with truck or bus experience? Dueck Isuzu is expanding its Commercial Truck Service Team and is looking for a Diesel & Medium‑Duty Trucks Technician who is either Red Seal Certified or a 3rd–4th year Apprentice, with strong diagnostics and at least five years of hands‑on experience. Founded in 1926, Dueck Auto Group is a family‑owned business with four dealerships across Greater Vancouver, employing over 400 people and delivering reliable medium‑duty commercial truck solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks (Isuzu and other medium‑duty platforms).
• Perform CVIPs, safety inspections, emission and DEF system repairs.
• Use OEM diagnostic tools such as G‑IDSS, Allison DOC, Cummins Insite, etc.
• Document work clearly and communicate with the foreman.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S practices.
• Mentor and support junior apprentices when needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of diesel truck or bus experience.
• Red Seal Certification OR 3rd–4th year Apprentice status.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence (Class 1 or 3 is a bonus).

Required skills

• Proficiency with G‑IDSS diagnostic system.
• Proficiency with Allison DOC diagnostic tool.
• Proficiency with Cummins Insite software.
• General OEM diagnostic software expertise.
