DevOps Engineer – Remote (Canada, PST)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team on a long‑term contract basis. The position is fully remote within Canada, operating on Pacific Standard Time, and supports a 24x7/365 on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud and bare‑metal infrastructure using AWS and OpenStack.
• Develop and optimize Linux kernel configurations for high‑performance data‑center environments.
• Create and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash.
• Manage infrastructure as code with Ansible and Terraform.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
• Monitor systems and visualize metrics with Grafana and Splunk.
• Respond to incidents and participate in on‑call support using PagerDuty.

Required profile

• Strong background in Linux kernel internals and performance tuning.
• Experience working with bare‑metal servers and OpenStack clouds.
• Proven ability to work remotely and align with PST working hours.
• Willingness to join a 24x7 on‑call rotation.
