DevOps Engineer – Contract in Mississauga

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Mississauga team on a contract basis. The role involves collaborating with software developers, security specialists and system administrators to design and maintain scalable, resilient and self‑healing infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and build/release processes.
• Ensure environment consistency across development, test and production.
• Set up and maintain monitoring solutions such as AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk and ELK.
• Configure and manage container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and related tools (Helm, Tekton, Harness, Ansible, Autosys).
• Handle Kafka configurations, micro‑service support and secret management.
• Perform basic Java and configuration fixes, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
• Write and optimise Oracle and MongoDB queries as required.

Required profile

• 10+ years of hands‑on DevOps experience.
• Self‑reliant and able to work independently.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven.
• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, Tekton, Ansible, Autosys, Harness.
• Monitoring and logging: AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, ELK stack.
• Scripting and automation: Python, Linux.
• Networking fundamentals: firewall, HTTPS, TCP/IP.
• Databases: Oracle, MongoDB.
• Kafka configuration and secret management.
